"The art world is not essentially to do with money: if you're a kid who goes to a museum and tries to draw a peregrine falcon, that's your art world. But people who buy art should buy it like they buy vegetables – they should do it every day, and they should love what they buy."
Douglas Gordon is an award‑winning British conceptual artist. Gordon has had major shows at The Museum of Modern Art, MART (Italy), the National Galleries of Scotland, Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, DOX Centre for Contemporary Art (Prague) and Tate Britain. For MIF13, he presented Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait with a live score by Mogwai. Gordon returns to MIF15 with Neck of the Woods, a collaboration with the pianist Hélène Grimaud, actress Charlotte Rampling and author Veronica Gonzalez Peña.
